Match preview: FK Sarajevo - FK Sloboda
28.10.2015 at 19:44h
Within the Matchday 14 of the BH Telecom Premier League of Bosnia and Herzegovina, FK Sarajevo will play against Sloboda from Tuzla. A derby of the Matchday will take place at the “Asim Ferhatović-Hase” Olympic Stadium on Sunday, 1 November at 13:00 hrs.
A guest of the Maroon Club, FK Sloboda, is a current leader of the championship with 28 gained points after thirteen Matchdays played, with eight wins, four draws and one defeat. The players chosen by Husref Musemić, a legend of FK Sarajevo, are playing a good half-season and their game is based on a firm defence which is the second best in the competition with only seven conceded goals. However, the best player of Sloboda is a striker. Thirty-year old Mersudin Ahmetović scored six goals so far and assisted three times. Nex to him is the second striker of the club with two goals scored, the formed FK Sarajevo player, Sulejman Krpić.
So far during the championship, Sloboda was defeated only once in the first Matchday when they played against Čelik as a guest team and the players in the red and black jerseys played twelve Matchdays without defeat. Yet, a good form of the players from Tuzla before the match against Sarajevo doesn’t guarantee a good result at Koševo. Namely, the last time Sloboda won at the stadium of FK Sarajevo was in the season 1981/82 and many years after Sarajevo celebrated twenty two wins while six matched ended with a draw. The overall statistics of duels between Sarajevo and Sloboda in which the Maroon Club was a home team shows that our Club was much more successful. At the “Asim Ferhatović-Hase” Olympic Stadium, Sarajevo celebrated thirty victories, thirteen ended with a draw and Sloboda won only three times since the first match at Koševo in 1947.
The last match between Sarajevo and Sloboda was played within Matchday 30 of the season 2014/15 and our Club, with the goals scored by Benko, Velkoski and Bilbija, celebrated with the result 3:1 thus confirming their championship title in that season. The players who played against Sloboda most times are our former players Muhudin Zukić and Faruk Ihtijarević who played against the players from Tuzla 18 times and our famous Safet Sušić “Pape” is the best scorer, with eight scored goals.
Let’s also mention that, in the last Matchday, Sarajevo was defeated by Mladost from Doboj-Kakanj while Sloboda defeated Travnik in an away match.
