Match preview: FK Sarajevo - NK Čelik

On Saturday, 5 March of this year, FK Sarajevo will play against Čelik from Zenica within the BH Telecom Premier League of BiH 2015/16, Matchday 20. The match at the “Asim Ferhatović-Hase” Olympic Stadium starts at 05:00 p.m. and it is the first official, home match of the Maroon Club in 2016.
After 99 days of absence from the biggest stadium in B&H, our Sarajevo is coming back to Koševo, and the players selected by Miodrag Ješić have imperative to win. In the last Matchday, Sarajevo showed a good game and shared points with Zrinjski in Mostar. The match ended with the result 2:2, and the goals for Sarajevo were scored by Simeunović and Bekić.
The Maroon Club is the clear favorite in the match against players from Zenica on Saturday and this is supported by the current situation on the table. Sarajevo is currently at the fifth place with 35 points, and Čelik is two places below with 29. On its stadium, Sarajevo achieved seven wins in a row including the league and the cup matches and the history of mutual duels show that our Club was much more successful. Sarajevo played a total of 45 matches at the “Asim Ferhatović-Hase” Olympic Stadium against Čelik with the performance of 35 wins, 8 draws and 2 defeats. The goal statistics is also on Sarajevo’s side, i.e. our footballers scored 110 goals in the matches against Čelik and conceded 33. Faruk Ihtijarević played against Čelik the most of the times, which is in total 24 matches, while the best scorer is Vahidin Musemić, with 10 goals.
The last match at Koševo between Sarajevo and Čelik took place in the season 2014/15, and the result was 1:1. In this match, Leon Benko scored the goal for the Maroon Club. Lets’ also mention that Čelik achieved its last victory at Koševo in the season 1986/87, when the result was 1:0 in the favor of the team from Zenica.
Regarding the line-ups of both teams, it is worth mentioning that Sarajevo is in better situation. After their suspension is over, Duljević, Berberović and Kallasi are coming back to team and Kramar, who is now fully recovered, also competes for the line-up. In the line-up of guests, situation is not completely good for the team’s coach and a former FK Sarajevo player, Elvedin Beganović.
After the draw in the last Matchday against Travnik in Zenica, due to suspension Jusić, Hećo and Dedić will miss the match at Koševo and Salčinović isn’t in the line-up as well. Let’s also say the referee in the duel between Sarajevo and Čelik will be Vladimir Bjelica.
EXPECTATIONS: FK Sarajevo first team player who came to our Club in the winter transitional period, Deni Simeunović, announced the match against Čelik by saying that our players can’t wait to play in front of the Koševo audience again.
“It was a long winter break and we can’t wait to play. We had big support during the match against Zrinjski in Mostar and I believe we will have it again on Saturday. We are hoping to win in front of full Koševo stadium that will bring us closer to the top of the table”, said Simeunović.
WEATHER: According to the forecast, the participants of the match and spectators are going to have cloudy weather with the maximum air temperature of 80C.
TICKETS: The tickets for the upcoming match between Sarajevo and Čelik are on sale from Friday 4 March and the prices are:

- Grandstand “East” – 8 BAM,
- Grandstand “West” – 10 BAM,
- Grandstand “West Gallery” – 20 BAM.
Tickets are on sale in both Bordo Fan Shops (38/b Maršala Tita Street, Bezistan), and in sales points in front of the City Market and at the KSC Skenderija plateau. It is worth mentioning that tickets can also be purchased at the “Asim Ferhatović-Hase” Olympic Stadium on the day of the match, starting from 02:00 p.m.
