Six goals in a draw of Sarajevo and Galatasaray at Koševo

In the TURKISH AIRLINES international friendly match that took place tonight at the “Asim Ferhatović-Hase” Olympic Stadium, FK Sarajevo and Galatasaray played a draw and the final result of this brilliant football match was 3:3.

First minutes marked the first half in which four goals were scored. In the 9th minute of the match, our superb football player Emir Obuća who tonight wore the jersey with number nine left the field and in that way ended his playing career. Obuća wore the jersey of Sarajevo in 205 matches and scored 89 goals. He is the fourth best scorer in the history of our Club.  A minute later, Alen Škoro, our famous number ten, also left the field and officially parted from active football. Škoro started playing football in the lines of FK Sarajevo and scored 57 goals for our Club. Followed by loud applause and ovations from the grandstands, these two football players went to football retirement concluding their careers with the match against Galatasaray.

Guests scored the first goal in the 13th minute when Aldin Olcan defeated Plakalo and few minutes later, Gumus put another ball into the net of Sarajevo for 2:0. Our football players scored a well-deserved goal in the 27th minute when Duljević nicely set himself free of his keeper and scored a goal with a low shot. By the end of the first half, our players leveled the result. It was in the 43rd minute when Kallasi made a centre shot from the right side and Amer Bekić scored the goal with his head into the net of guest’s goalkeeper.

The continuation of the match also brought an open style of game with a lot of chances. At the very beginning Sarajevo took the lead. Okić let the ball pass beside him to Amer Bekić who made a direct shot and, thus scored his second goal in the match. The footballers of Sarajevo continued with offensive game and had few more chances but the net of the guests didn’t shake. On the other side, Ergun defeated Pavlović with a nice shot for the final 3:3.

It is also worth mentioning that Miodrag Ješić, FK Sarajevo Chief of the Coaching Staff, in the second half gave the chance to young players from our Club’s Academy. Tonight’s match between Sarajevo and Galatasaray at the “Asim Ferhatović-Hase” Olympic Stadium under the sponsorship of TURKISH AIRLINES Company was a true football spectacle where the spectators were able to enjoy in big number of scored goals and nice moves of players of both teams.

"We are happy and satisfied because what we announced before the match actually came true. Many spectators were here and, in fact, the football is played because of supporters. I think everyone went home satisfied from this stadium, the result is not a priority and football won tonight", stated Miodrag Ješić, FK Sarajevo Chief of the Coaching Staff after the match.
